Relax, Flow & Birth Hypnobirthing Programme

Hypnobirthing Antenatal Courses in Chichester, West Sussex

Attend with your birth partner from 20 weeks

Your body is amazing. Learn how to harness it's natural abilities in birth ❤️ ✨

It's not what you think.

Having a positive birth isn't down to just luck.

Seriously.

If you're like me, you had very little understanding about all things pregnancy.

From unexpected symptoms, to finding ways to ease nausea, sleep better

and what is and isn't deemed safe and healthy for you and your baby. It's a lot.

I get it.

And I know, that you'll not want to go into birth unprepared, as you'll

want to be in a good position to navigate any eventuality and situation.

Hypnobirthing Course in Chichester

Easy Birth Tools // Research Based // Jargon Free

"When I was looking for antenatal courses I wanted something that would balance the medical and practical sides of pregnancy, birth and postpartum with a more 'hypnobirthing', positive birth experience element. This course was exactly what I was looking for...."

~Emma Reeve

I know you'll want to feel prepared, though you may feel inclined to put your head in the sand. You may have heard already that birth never goes to plan, so just go with the flow!

Let me tell you why that never works.

Going with the flow, with no knowledge or understanding, isn't really going with the flow...it's going with your care provider's flow.

By learning about birth and what your options and choices are, then you'll be in a perfect position to relax and go with the flow truly.

We can't predict how birth unfolds, but the decisions you make, based on the knowledge you've gained, will have an impact on how your birth unfolds.

My one-day intensive antenatal course teaches you everything you need to

feel prepared and confident for birth. Attending with your birth partner (whoever that is, families come in all shapes and sizes as we know),

you'll have the opportunity to meet other friendly local families.

  • Do you want to feel prepared for every      eventuality, including induction and caesarean birth?

  • Are you ready to fully understand what will happen to your body, the importance of  hormones & what to expect as you recover from birth?

  • Do you want your birth partner to be prepared with how best to support you during birth, as well as those early weeks with your new baby?

It All Starts With Your Hormones....

When you're stressed and anxious, your body releases an array of hormones. These hormones work against oxytocin. If you don't know, oxytocin is the hormone that helps your contractions to be both effective (strong) and consistent. So, we don't want to get in the way of that! Hypnobirthing teaches you tools to use that can help keep your stress hormones at bay, whilst encouraging all that wonderful love hormone, oxytocin ❤️ ✨

Why choose Nourishing Birth & Beyond?

I'm Candy, founder of Nourishing Birth & Beyond. As a registered nurse, I know the importance of good antenatal education. Understanding natural (physiological) birth and the other possibilities for birth is key to feeling empowered and confident.

 Knowledge is power.

Not only do I have first hand experience of three very different births, I have the medical knowledge that allows me to teach you in an easy to digest style based on the latest research.

I'm a solo mum to 3 young children, based in West Sussex. In my free time (ok I don't exactly know what free time is these days, but occasionally when I get a moment to myself) I love a gin and cold sea swim!

What Exactly You Get....

Natural birth, Chichester

"My partner and I attended Candy's hypnobirthing course wanting to learn about more natural forms of pain relief and less medical birthing techniques. It was a fantastic course, I feel so empowered, confident and excited about our birth. I'd recommend this course to every woman!"

FAQ

Does hypnobirthing replace the need for pain relief during labour? It depends really. Some people will use hypnobirthing to help them in the earlier phases of labour, and will later move on to using something like gas and air. Others would prefer to avoid using pain relief, and if that’s you, then hypnobirthing will help you with that! There’s no right or wrong, and it’s ok to not know how you feel about it right now. Hypnobirthing will help your body’s hormones, which are natural pain relief, to build and support you through labour.

Does my birth partner have to attend the classes? Ideally yes! Partners tend to find the course invaluable in feeling more prepared, calm and relaxed about birth, with a clearer idea of how they can support you. Learning together means you’ll be on the same page and puts them in a position to truly support you, as their role is key for the birth of your baby. Don’t worry if your partner is skeptical, this is really normal for a hypnobirthing course and they won’t be alone. Instead explain you’d like f their support in something that is important to you and I will do the heavy lifting in explaining about the science and why we use hypnobirthing.

When should I book/attend a hypnobirthing course? My hypnobirthing courses are taught in small groups so that I can give you the best possible personalised support. The classes therefore fill up quickly. I do advise that you book your slot early! I have taught people at 18 weeks who are particularly organised and those at 38 weeks who were not… (don’t worry - that was me too) Whenever you’re joining me, I can assure you that you’ll find incredible value in the course. It is never too late to learn.

£250 is a lot of money, is it worth it?

I know it is, and I don’t take that lightly. Some people choose to do NCT and other antenatal courses along side my hypnobirthing course, but you don’t need to as we cover all aspects of birth. And the feedback is generally “We did this other course, but yours has been so much more valuable”.

Consider how much money you perhaps spent on your wedding day? The birth of your baby and the first part of your journey into parenthood is a day you’ll never forget. Taking steps to prepare your body and mind are key to a positive birth experience. And with my course you’ll have my ongoing support right up until your baby is born.

Plus, I am happy to take instalments, so long as the full amount is paid prior to the start of the course.

Isn’t it all a bit woo woo hippy stuff?

Actually no. It’s based on science, and the way your body works, your body’s physiology.

I get it, the word hypnobirthing paints a picture of a group of people sat around chanting and singing all in a hypnotic state….But instead It’s a combination of tools and techniques that help with both pain relief and relaxation.
