My Story

I'm Candy, founder and owner of Nourishing Birth & Beyond

As a registered nurse and a mum of three young children, I am passionate about all things pregnancy related, especially  birth and the postnatal period .  I have always been fascinated by the human body and pregnancy took that to another level for me.

I love sharing information with parents to be, about birth and early parenthood. It's such an important time, when so much change is taking place. My knowledge is vast, but I am learning continuously. I constantly have my nose in a book, ear in a podcast or keeping up to date in many other ways  to further my learning.

As well as my in person & digital hybrid hypnobirthing and prenatal yoga programme.................

I run weekly pregnancy yoga classes in the Chichester area. Together these allow expectant parents to prepare for labour and birth, the fourth trimester, and the postnatal period.

I specialise in tongue tie and oral dysfunction. I can support you whether you know if your little one has a tongue tie or not,  pre or post division, however you are feeding your baby. For more info go

I am passionate about breastfeeding/ chest feeding and ensuring all families have access to the support they need. I can be found at the Milk Drop In (10-12) on the first Monday of the month (though it runs every week) at Graylingwell Chapel.

The postnatal journey varies for everyone, and each family will face different challenges. I aim to impart practical information to ease this transition as best as possible. Often just offering a welcoming and safe space is what is needed in the early days.

I  teach                                                     in  the Chichester area. These classes have been described as a "little piece of weekly heaven". It's a space where you can be yourself, practice some yoga, connect with your little one, make friends and feel supported.

My approach is relaxed, with focus on the breath and stretching out any niggles. I offer lots of options, so you're able to pick what suits you and your body's needs. My biggest aim is that you feel great on leaving and feel able to manage your little one's needs throughout. It's your practice, so I ensure it's tailored to your needs.

Having practiced Hatha yoga for many years, then discovering pregnancy yoga, I have experienced the benefits these practices can bring, so I'm keen to share these with other people. I completed 100hr Pregnancy Yoga and Antenatal  training with                    and further 25hr Postnatal training in addition to a 200hr YTT with                                .  I am .

I am on the National Register of Antenatal Educators through                  no. 13107.

I lead a busy life, always juggling a few things at once, but I do my best to make time for myself too when I'm not busy with my family. I have recently started cold sea swimming and live for the next time I can get in for a dip. It has been great for making new friends and allowing me to challenge myself in a new way.

I adore taking long walks, exploring different areas and nature. I love finding a cozy pub with good food and a glass of wine or gin to relax in after our adventures.

If you want to know more or ask any question please just let me know.

I look forward to meeting you!
